Youth Connections Unlimited/Young Moms Connect

Young Moms Connect is a program of Youth Connections Unlimited. Our mission is to provide young mothers and their children with social, recreational, arts and educational opportunities. In Sacramento County, there are over 600 pregnant and parenting teens who seek services. Teen parents need encouragement and support to strengthen parenting skills and be self-supporting. Young Moms Connect serves to promote educational goals by encouraging that young moms re-enroll or stay in school until they complete their high school diploma or GED. In addition, in order to achieve their goals, we strive to assist them to maintain their family size and gain employment skills. Program goals will also include expanding the young mom’s world so that she and her child can experience enrichment activities, such as reading time, outings to the zoo, the park, the library, children’s theater or just taking a walk. Other Ways to Support Young Moms Connect Do you enjoy networking and outreach? Are you skilled at soliciting donations or fundraising? Young Moms Connect and Youth Connections Unlimited are operated on a voluntary basis with little to no funding. If you can assist with securing donations to help support Mentor activities, or supplies for young moms, we welcome you to join us.
