Come volunteer as a speech or interview judge at our annual California Academic Decathlon State Championship, scheduled to take place in Sacramento between March 26 and March 29, 2020. Modeled after the Olympics, the California Academic Decathlon is a high school competition consisting of 10 exciting events: Art, Economics, Essay, Interview, Literature, Math, Music, Science, Social Science, and Speech. Started in Orange County, CA in 1968, the Academic Decathlon has transformed the lives of over 1 million high school students over its 52-year existence. As a volunteer at our life-changing competition, you will be able to witness California's best students compete for their spots at the United States Academic Decathlon National Competition!
