COHS, Inc., is a public charity dedicated to the welfare of animals. It has been established: 1) to provide sanctuary to homeless, abandoned, abused, special needs, or retired animals that have no other options, as can be safely supported by facility and resources; 2) to provide refuge, rehabilitation and return to habitat of injured wildlife; 3) to collaborate with community rescue organizations in the interest if public health, to maximize successful placement of shelter animals and reduce the number of stray or ill animals at large; 4) to create an environment conducive for education of the public regarding appropriate care of pets and appreciation for the needs of animals in general. COHS, Inc., future projects include having full veterinary services on site in cooperation with a veterinary medical training center, providing clinical intervention as needed, with access to free or low-cost vaccination and neutering/spaying programs for low income families, feral cat colony programs to control the number of feral cats in the community, and special needs center for disabled or chronically ill strays. We are hoping for a land grant or other donations to expand our capability to help all animals in need. COHS, Inc., is a preservation sanctuary to promote the welfare of animals, giving all those in need a chance for security and optimal quality of life. This program will be dependent entirely on grants and donations that will be tax deductible. All donations will go to: 1) Feeding, appropriate placement, care and treatment of the animals; 2) planning, purchasing, building, maintenance of the facility, resources, and grounds; and, 3) future hiring of service employees that will manage the day to day operations of Creatures of Heart Sanctuary, Inc.
