(WPC) Midtown HART (Homeless Assistance Resource Team)
Respite Midtown Homeless Assistance Resource Team (Midtown HART) respite centers offer a place of rest for neighbors experiencing homelessness.
The WPC Wednesday Respite Center is at Westminster Presbyterian Church (1300 N. St., Sacramento CA 95814).
We provide hospitality, food, beverages, clothing and survival supplies, outlets to charge phones, bathrooms, bike repair, showers and access to service providers.
Volunteer duties: set up, check in guests, serve coffee and food, hand out clothing and supplies, facilitate contact with providers, and clean up the space. Volunteers can have direct interface with guests or work in kitchens making food and coffee.
Volunteer shifts are from 8:45 to 11:15.
