Volunteer Sign Ups

We have many different volunteer opportunities, such as:

Job Coach Orientation (Women Only)

Interested in supporting women as they prepare for employment? Attend our required Job Coach Orientation to learn about the program and how you can encourage and guide a student through her job search journey. No prior mentoring experience is required.

Master Application Workshop

Assist students as they create a comprehensive "Master Application," a personal document that compiles employment history, education, skills, certifications, and accomplishments. This tool helps students efficiently complete job applications and prepare for future employment opportunities.

Job Coach Meet & Greet

Meet your assigned student and begin building a supportive relationship. This event allows Job Coaches and students to connect before working together throughout the program. If you are unable to attend, you may still participate as a Job Coach and will be connected with your student afterward.

Resume Writing & Interview Preparation Workshop

Support students as they develop professional resumes and strengthen their interview skills. Staff provide instruction and templates while volunteers offer encouragement, feedback, and one-on-one assistance.

Mock Interviews

Help students practice for real-world job interviews by conducting mock interviews and providing constructive feedback. Students come prepared with professional attire and resumes, giving them the opportunity to build confidence and refine their interviewing skills.

Professional Dress Shopping

Work one-on-one with students in our clothing closet to help them select professional outfits for interviews and employment. Volunteers provide encouragement and guidance while helping students build a workplace-ready wardrobe.

Thrift Store Driver  (Women Only)

Must have a valid driver's license, insurance, and reliable vehicle. Volunteers transport students to local thrift stores, helping them access affordable clothing and household items while supporting their journey toward self-sufficiency.

Fitness Enrichment Class Volunteer

Our students work hard every day, and enrichment activities provide opportunities for wellness, self-care, and stress relief. Volunteers assist with fitness classes and help create a positive, supportive environment for participants.

Graduation Luncheon Sponsor

Celebrate our students' accomplishments by sponsoring and/or providing lunch for the graduating class and program staff on the day before graduation. This special meal recognizes the hard work and dedication of our students as they complete the program.

Fri-YAY Volunteer

Help us celebrate our students' successes each Friday. Fri-YAY provides encouragement, community, and a well-deserved treat for women who are overcoming significant challenges while working toward their goals.
