2026 Juneteenth Block Party @ 40 Acres

The Juneteenth Block Party at 40 Acres is more than just an event—it is a powerful celebration of freedom, culture, and community. Each year, thousands gather to honor the legacy of Juneteenth while enjoying music, food, art, and connection in the heart of Oak Park. Behind the scenes, however, it takes a dedicated team of volunteers to bring this vibrant experience to life. Your role is essential in creating a welcoming, safe, and memorable environment for everyone who attends.

Volunteers play a critical part in both the setup and breakdown of the event. From assembling pop-up tents and arranging folding tables and chairs to ensuring spaces are clean and organized, your efforts directly shape the experience for vendors, performers, and guests. Equally important is the breakdown process—helping to dismantle equipment and leave the space clean reflects respect for the community and ensures the event can continue year after year. Your time, energy, and teamwork make a lasting impact, and this celebration simply would not be possible without your support.
