CalFresh at Farmers' Market - EBT Booth
Are you looking to give back and get outdoors this summer? Volunteer with Alchemist CDC's CalFresh at Farmers Markets program!
Alchemist CDC facilitates the use of CalFresh (SNAP/EBT) benefits and bonus Market Match incentives at Sacramento County farmers' markets. We need your help to connect communities to fresh, healthy, local food.
Current locations and times:
Sunday
Central (under the highway): 8am-12:30pm
Meadowview Light Rail Station: 9am-1pm (April-October)
Thursday - Florin (Florin Light Rail Stations): 8am-12:30pm
Saturday
Arden/Country Club Plaza: 8am-12:30pm
Laguna (Elk Grove): 8am-12:30pm
Midtown: 8am-1:30pm
Natomas: 8:30am-12:30pm (May-Sept)
Rancho Cordova (Sunrise Light Rail Station): 8am-12:30pm
*Shifts range between 2.5-4.5 hours and designated staff on-site training.
Volunteer duties:
- Assist in processing SNAP transactions
- Distribute EBT and Market Match vouchers
- Assist in the redemption of vouchers from farmers’ market vendors
Our CalFresh community is as diverse as the city of Sacramento! We are looking for bilingual volunteers who can communicate in Arabic, Farsi, Persian, Cantonese, Mandarin, Punjabi, Russian, Spanish, and Vietnamese.
