Citrus Heights Food Closet-NO COURT ORDERED COMMUNITY SERVICE
Sunrise Christian Food Ministry is seeking volunteers to help with our daily (M-F) food distribution.
We have operated as a non-profit food closet for over 40 years in the northeastern Sacramento County area.

NO SAME DAY SHIFT SIGN UPS PLEASE
THE SCHEDULE IS FINALIZED AT 8 PM THE PREVIOUS EVENING. IF YOU ARE NOT SIGNED UP FOR A SHIFT BY THEN, YOU WILL NOT BE ADDED TO THE SCHEDULE. FOR THE SAFETY OF OUR VOLUNTEERS AND CLIENTS, DO NOT JUST SHOW UP FOR A SHIFT WITHOUT RECEIVING CONFIRMATION YOU HAVE BEEN ADDED TO THE SCHEDULE. YOU MUST COMPLETE THE VOLUNTEER APPLICATION PRIOR TO SIGNING UP FOR A SHIFT. ALL VOLUNTEERS ARE ASKED TO SUBMIT A COPY OF A GOVENMENT ISSUED IDENTIFICATION PRIOR TO YOUR FIRST SHIFT. YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO VOLUNTEER UNTIL AN APPLICATION AND ID ARE ON FILE.

The food closet is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 8:30am-2:30pm (volunteer opportunities), 11:00am-1:30pm (food distribution) or until we run out of food, whichever comes first.
8:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. (Full Day Shift)
Bagging food, stocking shelves, sorting food, loading food into client's vehicles, cleaning after distribution
8:30 a.m. - 12:30p.m.. (AM Shift)
Set-up, bagging food, processing donations, sorting food, stocking shelves
10:45 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. (PM Shift)
Loading food into client's vehicles, bagging food, sorting food, directing traffic, checking in clients, clean-up
If you are a new volunteer, to the Sunrise Christian Food Ministry, please complete the Volunteer Application BEFORE you schedule yourself to work one of the shifts listed below.

**IF YOU WISH TO TRACK YOUR VOLUNTEER HOURS THROUGH HANDS ON SACRAMENTO, PLEASE BE SURE TO SIGN-IN/OUT ON-SITE BEFORE AND AFTER YOUR SHIFT AS WELL AS UPDATE YOUR HANDS ON SACRAMENTO VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY TO REFLECT THE ACTUAL HOURS YOU VOLUNTEERED, IF IT IS DIFFERENT THAN THE HOURS LISTED FOR THE SHIFT.
THE SUNRISE CHRISTIAN FOOD MINISTRY WILL ONLY BE ABLE TO VERIFY THAT YOU ATTENDED YOUR SHIFT IF YOU SIGN-IN/OUT.
