Food Distribution to Support our Community
We are a Drive-up & Walk-up food distribution site for those in need. Whether you are a new or seasoned volunteer, we need YOU! Training is offered on-site. Groups welcome.
IMPORTANT - Choose a shift below, and report to the location associated with the task:
Two Locations:
Sorting and Assembly: 3041 65th Street, Sacramento, CA 95820
Food Distribution, Traffic Control, and Registering Guests: 3101 Redding Avenue, Sacramento, CA 95820
Tasks may include:
- Unloading and sorting delivery
- Organizing and sorting food for freezers/fridges
- Assembling food boxes and loading food boxes in vehicles
- Register guests
- Assist with traffic control
- Volunteers must be able to lift 20 – 30 lbs
- Volunteers must be able to stand for most of the shift and
- Volunteers must commit to the entire shift
- Volunteer registration for each shift is 72 hours
- All shirts must have a sleeve (cap sleeve, half sleeve, or full sleeve. No sleeveless or tank tops). Pants, jeans, or capri-length (no shorts above the knee). Comfortable closed-toe shoes.
- At the distribution site, wear sunscreen, wear a hat, and bring drinking water.
