Happy Heart, Healthy Eating Day
Happy Heart, Healthy Eating Day is a quarterly event at Sacramento Children's Museum aimed to promote healthy eating and exercise habits in children and adults. Special activities happen throughout the day including cooking demonstrations, exercise classes, planting activities, art projects, and more! Admission to the event is free thanks to a grant from the Newman's Own Foundation. The event runs from 9am to 5pm at SCM, located in Rancho Cordova.
Volunteers are needed to facilitate activities outside and inside the museum, as over 500 people are expected to attend the event! Volunteers will also be needed to help with set up and take down for the event. If you have not volunteered with Sacramento Children's Museum before or have not attended our volunteer orientation, please contact the Volunteer Coordinator to arrange training prior to the event. We would love to see you there!
