Support Access to Fresh Produce in Oak Park

Alchemist CDC ( http://www.alchemistcdc.org), a non-profit community development organization is working with an Oak Park convenience store to provide fresh and local produce in a neighborhood with too few healthy food options. We need some help to let neighbors know that fresh options are available here, so we've planned an event to clean up around the exterior of the store to make it more inviting, and then go deliver flyers around the neighborhood. Do you believe that fresh, healthy food is important for all families to thrive? Help us make an impact! Please come out on May25th from 10:30-12:30 to support this neighborhood's health and well-being. This is an outdoor activity that requires a little walking, and is good for volunteers from teenagers up. Check in with us to see if this activity qualifies as service for any programs you are participating in. If you can join us, please contact us for time and place. (And don't hesitate to contact us for any questions you might have.)
