Morrison Creek Levee @ Logan St. -Power Inn Road - Environmental Council of Sac
Morrison Creek is an important tributary of the Sacramento River and part of the Sacramento flood control system. At one time, it was also a fish migration route. By restoring some of the natural habitat, the project sets the stage for the possibility of native fish to return to Morrison Creek and reestablishes fish passage to the Sacramento River.
This location will be lead by the Environmental Council of Sacramento. Volunteers who choose to work at the Morrison Creek Levee (Logan St - Power Inn Road) project will meet their "Team Leads" at 6207 Logan St. to collect their PPE and equipment at 10:00 AM.
Once you sign up for the event, the volunteer coordinator will contact you to fill out a waiver and collect your t-shirt size if you would like a free shirt donated by the 2020 CreekWeek event.
