The South Sac HART (Homeless Assistance Resource Team) Respite Center is in need of volunteer power to help us serve our unhoused neighbors.

The Respite Center - located at Florin United Methodist Church - is a place for people experiencing homelessness to come rest, recharge and get some refreshments and necessities.

Volunteers are needed to help setup and operate the Respite Center.

Volunteer roles include: initial setup of Respite center, brief health screening of guests (taking guest's temperatures and asking about COVID exposure), signing guests in (for contact tracing purposes), arranging hygiene supplies and donated items, serving coffee and snacks, providing hospitality to guests as well as monitoring restrooms.

The Respite Center is open every 2nd Saturday (until we are able to open for additional dates).

Volunteers should arrive by 8:50/9am. We are open to guests from 9am-12:00pm.
