American Red Cross Shelter Nurse Volunteer - CEU potential!

American Red Cross Gold Country Region is looking for healthcare professional-volunteers who can deploy to disaster shelters during this wildfire/hurricane season. Volunteers who are trained and signed up with American Red Cross are background checked, trained, and ready to roll out if called. Potential to earn 5.25 CEUs.

Shelter Nurses must be
1. Have one of the following licenses: LVN, LPN, EMT, RN, a medical doctor (MD), DO, NP, paramedic, PA, and APRN. MAs and CNAs are not qualified to volunteer as Shelter Nurses but can volunteer in other health services capacities.
2. Able to complete online training
3. Able to commit to at least five consecutive days for a deployment
4. Available to deploy at least once this wildfire season. You are not expected to be on-call everyday. Responder availability can be toggled on and off to accommodate life. The expectation is that you have the availability to deploy at least once this 2022 Wildfire Season.

Shift times will have a minimum of four hours up to 12 hours, depending on where and how big the disaster is.
