Prepare Meals for Homeless and Seniors
We need help preparing meals for unsheltered homeless individuals and low-income seniors. This would primarily involve coming to our kitchen located in midtown Sacramento to help do basic cooking tasks, such as chopping vegetables and cleaning up after cooking is over.
We also need help loading cars with boxed meals and delivering them to recipients. We will stage the meal prep work so that no more than a few people (observing physical distancing and wearing masks) will be in our kitchen (which is spacious and well ventilated) at one time.
In addition, our organization is always looking for volunteers to help with marketing, social media, grant-writing, and other administrative tasks. This type of work can be done remotely.
