Help 2-1-1 Sacramento provide COVID-19 Information to the Public

2-1-1 Sacramento, the information and resources line for Sacramento and Yolo counties is in need of volunteers to help with the surge of calls from Yolo County to provide basic and verified information to people who are calling about Coronavirus (COVID-19).

The 2-1-1 Yolo County line is the region’s 24-hour, multilingual, information and referral service, has been designated as overflow for public information regarding COVID-19 in Yolo County.

2-1-1 is looking for people who are available to volunteer for the 2-1-1 call center in Sacramento to help with COVID-19 related calls by relaying public health verified information about the virus. Scripted information will be provided to relay to callers and will be the latest provided by Yolo County Health & Human Services. You will attend a brief volunteer training and will work side-by-side with experienced 2-1-1 staff.
As always:
-Volunteers must be comfortable on the phone and possess strong verbal skills.
-Volunteers hours will be determined as the need unfolds.
-People with second language skills are especially needed.

The volunteer shifts are as follows:

Monday, March 23 - 8:00am - 1:30pm (2 volunteers)
Monday, March 23 - 1:30pm - 7:00pm (2 Volunteers)
Tuesday, March 24 - 8:00am - 1:30pm (2 volunteers)
Tuesday, March 24 - 1:30pm - 7:00pm (2 volunteers)
Wednesday, March 25 - 8:00am - 1:30pm (1 volunteer)
Wednesday, March 25 - 1:30pm - 7:00pm (1 volunteer)
Thursday, March 26 - 8:00am - 1:30pm (1 volunteer)
Thursday, March 26 - 1:30pm - 7:00pm (1 volunteer)
Friday, March 27 - 8:00am - 1:30pm (1 volunteer)
