Homeless Count 2017

More than 300 Volunteers are needed for the Sacramento Homeless Street Count event on January 25, 2017.
Volunteers are needed to help count the homeless and assist with volunteer registrations and logistics on the night of January 25.
There will be 70 mapped areas throughout Sacramento County that need to be addressed. Volunteers will be placed into groups and will be assisted by local law enforcement. Each group will be assigned to a mapped area to survey the number of homeless individuals in that specific area. Be a part of this critical event.
The Homeless Street Count helps us better understand and serve our homeless population and will help develop new programs where gaps exist, and make policy decisions on homeless issues in Sacramento.
Homeless Counters will need to attend mandatory training prior to assisting on count night.
