Sacramento County Public Health Exercise
Help Sacramento County Prepare for a Public Health Emergency and Participate in a Preparedness Drill!
Join us! Sacramento County Public Health is conducting an exercise as part of the 2018 Statewide Medical Health Exercise involving Sacramento County Public Health, California Department of Public Health, and the Center for Disease Control.
On Thursday November 8, 2018, the county will be conducting a Medical Point of Dispensing (MPOD) exercise to test and validate medical countermeasure dispensing plans. The exercise is meant to address an “unusual” health event for which a medical countermeasure (treatment) response is deemed necessary. Volunteers do NOT need a medical background.
Volunteers may be asked to serve as part of the staffing for the MPOD or may be used as “simulated” public persons coming to go through the MPOD to receive the medical countermeasures (may go through several times to simulate a large crowd to test MPOD throughput). All volunteers will receive appropriate “Just-in-time” Training the morning of the exercise and will be asked to give feedback to help us improve procedures, information, forms, and messaging in the exercise scenario.
Lunch will be provided.
Age Minimum (with Adult): 18+, Minimum Age:18+
