Support Animal Control at the American Red Cross Shelter at Cal Expo
Help support pets who have been evacuated from the wildfires Napa, Sonoma and Solano Counties at the American Red Cross Shelter at Cal Expo!
Volunteers will assist with loading & unloading animals, assembling cages, cleaning-up and other duties.
Volunteers must be comfortable with animals (cats/dogs/etc.) and be prepared to lift and get dirty. You must wear closed-toed shoes, comfortable clothing that you don't mind getting dirty. A pair of work gloves would also be a helpful.
NOTE: Because of the fluidity of the situation, your shift may be cancelled. We will keep you posted on the status if it is cancelled. Also, when you sign up for this opportunity, you will be given further instructions on where to report along with any additional details. Thank you so much!
Please note that only two volunteers are needed for each shift, so if the shift is full, you will be added to the wait list.
