Schoolmarms and School Masters Needed
Schoolmarms and School Masters Needed – The Old Sacramento Schoolhouse Museum, located at 1200 Front Street in Old Sacramento is busy with reservations for class field trips, tourists and visitors and is looking for new docents to volunteer as schoolmarms or school masters. Volunteers should enjoy sharing information, like history, have one or two half-days a month to volunteer, like children, enjoy dressing up in costume and want to be a part of a living history program. Volunteers meet visitors from all over the world and across the country, many of whom are teachers or have family members who taught or attended a one-room school.
