One Hour to Make a Difference- Reading Tutors Needed
One Hour to Make A Difference - Tutors Needed to Inspire Struggling Young Readers (Various Sacramento Schools)
Do you have one hour a week to make a difference in a child's life? Volunteer as a literacy tutor with Reading Partners!
Our program collaborates with local elementary schools to train community volunteers to provide one-on-one support and mentoring for elementary student readers. Tutors are paired to work with the same student for at least one semester, for one weekly 45-minute tutoring session.
No previous experience is necessary! Tutors are provided a structured, easy-to-follow curriculum to work with, and a staff Site Coordinator is present at all times for ongoing support and guidance.
Reading Partners currently works within 8 schools in Sacramento, and seek volunteers to tutor Monday through Thursday, between 8 AM - 5 PM (hours may vary slightly from center to center).
