Serve Elk Grove Laguna Town Hall Beautification Project
Through the initiative of Mayor Gary Davis, a new volunteer center dedicated to the city of Elk Grove is rapidly approaching its debut. On May 11, 2013, Serve Elk Grove will commence its very first project in Town Hall Park, kicking off what is poised to be a model of service and community development.
The beautification of Laguna Town Hall Park will begin at 9 AM and go through 12 PM. 50 Volunteers are needed for multiple projects including:
- Prepping
- Sanding and repainting two bridges
- Replanting and weeding areas
- Laying mulch in flower beds
- Clean up
Participants will receive a free t-shirt to commemorate the event.
This activity is open to all ages, and parents/legal guardians must attend with their minor child(ren). The event will be held just south of Laguna Town Hall, which is located at Laguna Town Hall Park. You can enter the park from either West Laguna Court or East Laguna Court. There is plenty of street parking available.

Serve Elk Grove brings together some of our area's leading volunteer advocates, including State Assembly Member Dr. Richard Pan, Steve Ly with the Elk Grove Unified School District, Kerri Thomas, Director of Community and Government Relations at Sutter Health Sacramento Sierra Region, Pastor Barry Smith at Impact Community Church, Community Link's CEO Alan Lange, and Elk Grove Mayor Gary Davis. This joint effort in the pursuit of development and revitalization, with its unique blend of participants with varied backgrounds, will benefit the City of Elk Grove for years to come.
