Youth Coaches

The City of Sacramento needs volunteers to serve as Youth Sports Coaches. The Youth Sports Coach plays an essential role in our youth sports programs both as role models and as teachers of “the game,” with an emphasis on using sports as a vehicle to equip our youth with the life skills necessary for success outside of sports. Coaches must have experience coaching youth in 1 or more of the following sports: Basketball, Flag Football and/or Softball/Baseball. Coaches will attend various coaching meetings and work closely with head coach and/or program coordinator responsible for the league. Coaches will receive all training materials and resources needed. Volunteer coaches need to be available Monday through Friday afternoons and evenings and Saturday mornings. Coaches will volunteer at the South Natomas Community Center with travel to other community centers for game days and meetings. For more information or to apply, contact Javier Rivas at jrivas@cityofsacramento.org or call (916) 808-1573.
