Phase 34 Funding

The Request for Proposals for Phase 34 will be released on Monday, February 20, 2017, and the RFP is due by 5:00 pm on March 20, 2017.
Phase 34 Bidders Conference:
Attendance at the Bidders Conference is strongly encouraged, but not mandatory. Applicants unable to attend the Bidders Conference are encouraged to communicate with other potential applicants from their county to discuss needs, priorities, and funding levels needed in each category to best meet community demand. Q. Does the Emergency Food & Shelter Program set a minimum bed limit for a mass shelter facility?
A. Yes. It is five beds.
Q. When will the applicant be notified of funding decisions?
A. By the second week of April, each applicant will be notified if they have been approved for Phase 34 funding. Both Sacramento and Yolo County applicants will also be notified of the level of which they will be funded. The funding levels for Alpine, El Dorado and Placer counties will be disclosed at a later date as the total funding for each of these counties will be determined by the State Set-Aside (SSA) fund Committee in California.
Q. What kind of documentation is required for the Utilities funding category?
A. At the end of the grant period you must provide copies of the following as supporting documentation to your final report: client name & address, utility vendor name and utility bill, copies of the check/check clear date to pay the vendor and cleared check.
Q. Do you have to provide served meals at a shelter site?
A. No. It can be at any "mass feeding" facility.
