Making Material Donations
Figuring out who accepts material donations and what items they need most can be a daunting task. We have developed this page to help you find the best match for your efforts to contribute. Please note that this page is a work in progress, so new agencies and current needs will be updated regularly. If you represent a non-profit organization that would like to be included on our list, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
How to Use This Information
Interested in doing a drive with co-workers or friends? Check out the items listed under “Drives” to see what types of materials you might collect to benefit each organization.
Doing some spring (or winter) cleaning? Check out the items under “Other" to see which organizations can make use of your old items. For example, if you want to donate a coffee table, look for organizations that accept furniture.
Giving is great, but make sure to “give responsibly.” Please use common sense when deciding if an item is in good enough condition. For example, stained or damaged clothing probably shouldn’t make the cut!
Once you find the organization you want to support, make sure to check their website and/or contact them to find out specific items needed and where and when donations are accepted. It is important to confirm that the items you want to donate are still needed before bringing them to the site.
