Opportunity Details

MLK Day Adopt-a-Park

Join in with neighbors and friends to help beautify three parks on Saturday, January 18th from 9 am to noon. The parks will include: William Land Park at 3800 Land Park Drive, Seymore Park at 845 Florin Road and Garcia Bend Park at 7654 Pocket Road.  Please wear closed toed shoes (with sturdy ankle support is best) and comfortable clothing you don’t mind getting a little dirty. Please bring a pair of work gloves if you have them. Teens and youth are welcome to assist. Also note that all volunteers will need to complete a City of Sacramento Volunteer Agreement form prior to starting work. To simplify the check-in process on the day of the event, it is helpful to download the form and bring it already signed. The form can be found at: http://www.cityofsacramento.org/volunteers/Short-term_Volunteer_Agreement_and_Waiver.pdf  If you’d like to join the group, please contact Vishal Ream-Rao at vream-rao@cityofsacramento.org or call:  (916) 808-7184.
