"Give a Day. Get a Disney
Day." is Disney's 2010 national
campaign to inspire one million people to volunteer. Disney has
partnered with HandsOn Network to offer
eligible volunteer opportunities for volunteers. Disney will
thank those who volunteer for an eligible volunteer opportunity
with one free admission ticket, good for one day admission to a
Walt Disney World or Disneyland theme park.
On January 1st, Hands On
Sacramento began participating in the "Give A Day. Get A
Disney Day." program. Many of the volunteer projects posted at
www.handsonsacto.org qualify as
eligible "Give A Day. Give A Disney Day." volunteer
opportunities. In order to participate in the Disney campaign,
volunteers MUST sign up through Disney's website,
www.DisneyParks.com, complete their
service, and have their volunteer hours confirmed by the
verifying organization in order to receive the free one day
admission ticket to a Walt Disney World or Disneyland theme
park.

Note: Many volunteer
opportunities posted at Hands On Sacramento qualify for Disney's
program and though they are the exact same listing on

as www.DisneyParks.com,
volunteers who register
for volunteer projects through the Hands On Sacramento website
will not be eligible for the Disney campaign. Volunteers
MUST go to the Disney website to register for volunteer projects
in order to be eligible for the free one day Disney admission
ticket. All projects listed on Hands On Sacramento's website
are not qualifying projects. Volunteers must visit
www.DisneyParks.com to
find eligible volunteer projects in order to participate in the program.
